How to Apply

Applications must be submitted at least 2 months prior to your planned departure date.

Applying for Work and Travel USA is easy. Just follow these steps:

Step 1 - Complete an application form. You can download an application form here:
  Work and Travel USA - 12 Months (Australia)
  Work and Travel USA - 12 Months (New Zealand)
  Summer Work and Travel USA (Australia)
  Summer Work and Travel USA (New Zealand)

Step 2 - Send us your completed application, together with a copy of your passport ID page and your $250 deposit.

Step 3 - Assuming you meet all eligibility criteria we will confirm your participation on the program and invoice you for the balance of the program fee which is payable on receipt.

Step 4 - Once your application has been approved by CIEE we will supply you with your DS-2019 form and other forms that are needed for your interview at the US Consulate.

Step 5 - Attend your interview at the US Consulate and obtain your J-1 visa in your passport.

Step 6 - Book your flight as soon as you have your J-1 visa.

Step 7 - Depart on an adventure of a lifetime!
